Blueberry, Cinnamon, Almond Butter Snack, the one I always talk about.

I’ve written several posts about how to kick sugar cravings and even more about intermittent fasting (IF). While IF cuts down on cravings in general, including the sugar ones, they still happen. It’s life!

I’ve mentioned my favorite sweet snack so many times and hadn’t posted it because I thought it was so simple.

I don’t know what I was thinking! This is the snack I recommend for those moments when you’re nervously repeating to yourself, “I won’t give in to this sweet craving, I won’t give in to this sweet craving…”

What I love the most about this healthy blueberries cinnamon almond butter snack is that I enjoy completely guilt-free. And I still see the scale go down! The blueberries are best frozen or semi-frozen as if it were an icee.

I love this snack so much that I keep family sized bags of blueberries in my freezer! Do I eat it every day? Nope. But, my supplies are waiting for when a sugar craving hits. Thankfully, that’s not as often as it was a year ago.

AREN’T BLUEBERRIES CARBS?

Blueberry Cinnamon Almond Butter Snack

One cup of blueberries has 21.4 grams of carbs. So, if you’re strictly keto, this snack will take up a very large portion of your daily carb intake.

In my posts about what to eat during intermittent fasting, I’ve said that I eat low carb high fat, though not fully keto. This is the reason. My focus is to eat healthily, and sometimes that means a nice bowl of blueberries!

Carbs aren’t evil. We just need to go with healthy carbs, rather than eating all the sugar and processed carbs we’ve bee eating for so many years.

You can’t go wrong with the health benefits of blueberries either. They’re rich in antioxidants, fiber, and vitamins. Eating blueberries frequently can help fight cancer, reduce inflammation, improve brain health, help with digestion, and support heart health.

Another thing I love about this snack? It’s so simple to make! Let’s be real, I love to cook, but it has to be quick. I pull out the meals that take longer to put together than 20-30 minutes for special occasions only.

This snack takes about two minutes to put together. This is especially important when I have a blind craving for something sweet. You know, those moments when you stop thinking rationally and you’re ready to inhale sugar to satisfy that craving…

You can dig into the frozen blueberries as you’re putting your bowl of healthy blueberries cinnamon almond butter snack together. I usually steal one or two before I top them with almond butter and cinnamon.

GUILT-FREE, EASY, AND HEALTHY BLUEBERRY CINNAMON ALMOND BUTTER SNACK

Guilt-Free, Easy, and Healthy Blueberry Cinnamon Almond Butter Snack, a delicious and healthy option for when sweet cravings strike and you’re trying to lose some inches.

Blueberry Cinnamon Almond Butter Snack

INGREDIENTS

INSTRUCTIONS

STEP #1: Measure out 1 cup of blueberries into a bowl.

STEP #2: Pour two tablespoons of raw almond butter over blueberries.

STEP #3: Add cinnamon to taste. Enjoy!

RECIPE NOTES

  • You have the option of nuking the frozen blueberries for 20-30 seconds to thaw them a little. This makes them softer, but still cold for that icee effect.
  • I prefer to use this organic raw almond butter because of it’s softer consistency. This allows you to pour it over the blueberries, rather than having clumps of almond butter in the snack.
