Keto prosciutto-wrapped jalapeno poppers… They make life a little exciting!

Eat them as a snack, a side dish, or an hors-d’oeuvre. At least that’s what I do. ?

The holidays are here and Superbowl’s around the corner. This is one of those easy-to-make recipes with only three ingredients that everybody will love.

You know when you’re at a party and you keep going back to the food table for that one item you can’t get enough of? These prosciutto-wrapped jalapeno poppers are it. You’ll be going back for more.

The prosciutto is very flavorful. Jalapenos can be spicy if you want (though I usually go for mild on these). And then the cream cheese creates the perfect balance between all the ingredients.

Yummy!

To me, this recipe is a perfect example of why it’s so easy to eat low carb high fat foods. If you’re doing keto, or just eating low fat high carb (like me), pin or save this one to come back to.

Keto Prosciutto-Wrapped Jalapenos - cut prosciutto lengthwise

INGREDIENTS:

4 Jalapenos

4 oz cream cheese

4 slices Prosciutto (3-inches wide)

INSTRUCTIONS:

Keto Prosciutto-Wrapped Jalapenos - place on baking sheet

  1. Pre-heat oven to 350°. Line baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
  2. Cut the top of Jalapenos and half, lengthwise. Deseed jalapenos to reduce the spice factor. Fill Jalapeno halves with cream cheese. Cheese will expand when heated, don’t overfill.
  3. Cut each prosciutto slice in half (lengthwise) into two strips each. Wrap prosciutto strip around cream cheese filled jalapenos. When wrapping prosciutto around, cover the jalapeno top to prevent cheese from spilling out when it expands during baking.
  4. Place wrapped jalapenos on the baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake at 350° degrees for 15-20 minutes. Remove from oven, allow to cool for 2-5 minutes.
  5. Enjoy warm!
