Creamy chocolate buttercream frosting… a must-have in your arsenal of delicious recipes that will WOW everybody.
This past week, I’ve had the pleasure of having my best friend and her family visit Jeremy and me in Seattle. In fact, this is the second friend that visits us this summer and we’re ecstatic to host people we love!
Most of the time, when we have guests, we tend to be out showing them around the city (Seattle). Especially stopping at our favorite restaurants in this foodie’s dream of a city. This usually prevents me from spending enough time at home to whip up a batch of cupcakes.
This time, however, our friends went up to Vancouver for an overnight trip, so I got to work. Since their 15-year-old son loves chocolate, I made vanilla cupcakes with this creamy chocolate buttercream frosting. I hope you enjoy it as much as they did. CREAMY CHOCOLATE BUTTERCREAM FROSTING
This creamy chocolate buttercream frosting is simple to make, yet packed with flavor. It’s the perfect frosting for that moment when you’re pressed for time and still want to make a decadent cake. Add raspberries, or white chocolate shavings and OMG, amazing!
What makes it so easy to make is that the ingredients are quick to mix. It almost takes longer to gather the ingredients than to mix the buttercream. Now, you definitely want to mix everything well. But you’re done before you know it.
QUICK TIP: This buttercream is made with butter ONLY. If you plan to make it in hot and humid weather, check out this post for adjustment that will prevent melting buttercream.
