Are you obsessed with peanut butter? Do you know anybody who cannot live without it? Do you find yourself buying the giant pair of JIF tubs because you know that one will not be enough? Do you eat it by the spoonful? Do you ever find yourself craving a sweet treat and wish you could just have peanut butter cookies? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then you definitely need to try this 3-Ingredient Peanut Butter Cookies recipe!
MY HUSBAND’S PEANUT BUTTER OBSESSION
My husband, Jeremy, would answer yes to every single question above. While he loves what I cook, every night after dinner, after about an hour, he makes and eats a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. He LOVES the creamy Jif peanut butter and says he can’t survive without it.
I prefer raw almond butter, I feel like I’m eating the real deal and it’s definitely healthier than the processed options. But that doesn’t mean I don’t like peanut butter. Believe me, I’ve been known to just grab a spoonful from the jar. For those moments, I keep the healthier organic peanut butter option around.
THE 3-INGREDIENT PEANUT BUTTER COOKIES RECIPE
I came across the 3-Ingredient Peanut Butter Cookie recipe one night when my husband and I were craving something sweet and didn’t have anything at home. I had been trying to limit the available temptations. The cravings got stronger as the night went on and as we periodically reminded each other that we wanted something sweet. We gave in…
I went to Pinterest and looked up 3 ingredient cookies. When I saw peanut butter cookies, I needed to look no further.
Unfortunately for my waistline at the time, my husband and I ended up “craving” these cookies more often than we should’ve. Needless to say, I knew I had to add this recipe to the blog from the beginning.
Here’s the recipe for the 3-Ingredient Peanut Butter Cookies, I hope you enjoy them!
INGREDIENTS
- 1 cup peanut butter
- 1cup sugar
- 1 egg
HOW TO MAKE THE 3-INGREDIENT PEANUT BUTTER COOKIES
STEP 1
Mix peanut butter, sugar, vanilla and egg in a bowl until very well incorporated and smooth. It should still be firm enough to make into 1” balls. Allowing it to sit an extra five minutes will give the sugar some time to be better absorbed into the other ingredients. That’ll prevent the feeling of sugar crystals in the cookies.
STEP 2
Place balls on cookie sheet. These cookies will expand out so you have to leave enough room in between the cookies to prevent them from merging together as they bake. I would leave 1” in between each cookie. Flatten each dough ball with a fork until about 1/4” thick.
STEP 3
Bake for approximately 13 minutes at 350 degrees. Keep in mind that every oven is different. Check on your cookies and remove them from the oven when fully baked and even colored.
Cool and Enjoy!
